Colonix Week's 6 & 7 & ToxinOut Week's 1 & 2

Hello fellow cleansers!

I have completed week's 6 and 7 of the Colonix program after taking the 5th week off. I also started the ToxinOut program in congruence with the Colonix program.

During my week off of the Colonix program, I continued the fiber drink in the morning, per the instructions. I did notice that the number of BM's I was having decreased. I suppose that's to be expected given the lack of Paranil pills and Kleritea. The Kleritea is amazing and I will continue to drink that a couple of times a week even after the program.

I was pleased to get started again for my second 30 day phase and sure enough, my system picked up right back up with the cleansing. I'm still experiencing "the cleanse" in that there is more coming out each day, then there is going in. I've maintained a healthy diet with no gluten or corn products. I am buying organic as much as my budget will allow and only eating carbs (rice and potatoes) very little. I haven't experienced any weight loss that I could attribute to the cleanse or a decrease in my belly at all. But, I feel waaayyyy less gassy. I was ALWAYS gassy before I started this program. I think cutting carbs has helped but I definitely attribute a lot of my relief to this cleanse.

I also incorporated the ToxinOut program during the second phase of Colonix. This is a different type of program because the results aren't as noticeable as with the colon cleanse. As I write this I am in the beginning of week three of the program and I have begun to notice more energy over the last couple of days. Don't get me wrong, I still have to drag my butt out of bed, after hitting snooze 37 times, every morning. But once I'm up and moving and all throughout the day and into the evening, I have energy. I'm not ready to crash on the couch the second I walk in the door after work. I'm very pleased with the results so far.

Well fellow cleansers, that's the latest on the cleanse and the toxin program. I continue to be please with the results and recommend everyone do the program! What a great way to start of the new year right? With a clean colon!

Colonix Weeks 3 and 4

Hello fellow cleansers!

My sincere apologies for the late post...it's been a busy week.

So, my Week 3 (and partially into Week 4 at this point) have been somewhat of a disappointment. I seem to have taken a few steps backwards. At the beginning of the third week I realized that I had still been taking only two (2) Paranil pills per day, when the directions stated to start taking four (4) per day in the second week. The directions also said to begin steeping the tea for 6 to 10 minutes as well.

So, in the third week I began following the directions more clearly, but the results seemed to slow way down. I haven't been having near as many BM's nor do they seem to be good BM's. I've gone back to some loose stools or not going very much at all. I will say that this past week has been "that time of the month" and that always messes with my digestive system and BM's. Actually, it messes with EVERYTHING...Ladies, you know what I mean. Anywho, it's possible that the changes were due to Aunt Flo being around but I'm just not sure.

My diet has remained pretty much the same as it has since the beginning (see earlier posts) except I've added a little more carbs into the mix (rice and potatoes), but otherwise still very clean. As I write this post, I'm actually almost through my fourth week and haven't seen any real changes. I have just received my second month's cleanse in the mail as well as the ToxinOut program. I will finish out week four and then take the five (5) day break recommended and start again, but adding in the ToxinOut program.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that giving my body a break and then coming back and reintroducing the Paranil and the Tea will jump start everything again. I am really looking forward to the ToxinOut program as my college days (although many years ago) are probably still wreaking havoc on my liver.

I will return in two weeks when I start up the program again. Until then...happy colon health!!!

Colonix Week 2

Hello fellow cleansers!

So, I'm at the end of Week 2 and quite satisfied with the way things are going. My digestive issues have been mostly resolved and the belching and feeling of fullness has ceased (Thank Goodness!!). I have continued on my mostly no grain diet, but have included more rice and rice based products. I have added in a little dairy here and there, but it's been nominal.

I have been maintaining my Colonix schedule like clock work and am still seeing improvements in my BM's. The odor has decreased significantly to the BM's "pre" cleanse as has the shape, texture, etc... you get the point. There is definitely more coming out than there is going in, so that means I am getting some old "junk" out of me, slowly but surely. Per the instructions of the product, the Kleritea is not meant to be drank every night (except for the first 5 days), so I have cut back to a few nights a week, when I steep it for 4 minutes. I do notice that if I do not drink the tea at night, the next day is less productive in the bathroom. I'm not sure what the side effects are of drinking the tea long term but I will trust the manufacturer on this one.

I took a series of blood tests that included a white and red blood cell count, H.pylori bacteria test, a Celiac's Disease test, and a Thyroid test. I was negative on both the bacteria and Celiac's test, which is great! My Thyroid test came back low, so I need to start taking that medication again. I had an appointment with an energy healer who did some cleansing of my chakra's and suggested cutting back on nuts and drinking Aloe Vera juice to help heal my digestive system. The juice tastes terrible!!! But, it works and I will continue to drink a cup a day to improve and maintain my digestive health.

I haven't noticed any decrease in the size of my "pooch" (my belly) in the the last two weeks or changes in my energy, hair, or skin as I have seen many people report with the Colonix program. I'm 37 (almost 38) years old, about 5'3 and weigh about 145 give or take, I have a curvy figure, similar to Jennifer Lopez I guess, for lack of a better description. Small waist but larger hips. So my belly is not big by any means, but in the last couple of years, it's starting to be more "poochy" and flabby. I'm not hoping this Colonix will be a weight loss alternative by any means, but I would be happy if in the end, it did help bring my belly down a bit. I am however going to reserve all judgement's until I have completed about 60 days of both the Colonix and the ToxinOut programs. I will be ordering and incorporating the ToxinOut program, also offered by Dr. Natura for the 60-90 day portion of the program and I will blog about those results once I get underway.

I've been a little challenged financially over the last several weeks with all of these health issues and the cost to fix them, but this week I should be seeing some relief. At which time, I will head to the organic grocery store, it rhymes with Mole Foods and load up on the good stuff. I plan to continue eating organically and focusing on Non-GMO foods going forward, but am looking forward to seeing if I notice a larger change in congruence with this Colonix system. I believe my results will be even more improved with an organic diet.

So, there we have it folks. The end of Week 2. Things are moving along swimmingly but I haven't seen anything groundbreaking occur or come out at this point, but trust me if I do...You'll be the first to know!!

Happy Cleansing!!

Colonix Day 6

Day 6:

The usual...the 2 Paranil pills with 8 oz. of water, but I forgot to set my timer for 15 minutes....oops! I think it was actually about 12 minutes when I drank the fiber mix, as opposed to 15. Not sure what effect this will have.

Diet notes: Since I was feeling better, I decided to try adding in some dairy and rice items to see how I felt. Once of them negatively effecting me (see below).

I did some walking today, no workout.

I steeped my tea at night for 3.5 minutes. Don't forget to heat your water in a pot, do not use the microwave. Today is the last day I will drink the tea on consecutive days. The program states that the tea is not meant for long term use and to start putting a day or more between tea consumption after the first week. I am wondering how this will effect my BM's in the morning. I hope thing continue to move freely on a daily basis. But I'll let you know.

Changes: I did great with the BM's again today, having about 5. I've started to notice some changes in the look of my BM's as well as a decreased odor. Again, examining what's in the toilet is creeping me out but it has to be done in order to observe the changes. I have noticed a decrease in odor, which surprises me. But I have also noticed a change in the look...let's see how I can describe this. I will say that the waste looks "old." It's coming out all in one piece with less "clean up" after the movement and what looks to be a thin mucus layer and the stools are comprised of what looks like new and old waste, due to the different colors. If you do this cleanse and start looking closely at it, I believe you will know what I mean when you see it. As far as the mucus, I've read this from other people's blogs. This is a good thing. I also have much less gas coming out the bottom end in the last couple of days, in fact almost no gas.

The stomach issues did return some today but in a slightly different form. I felt somewhat queasy, not in my head but unsettled maybe, in my stomach. There was also some cramping. So this could be due to the gluten free pasta and GF snacks I had eaten Friday night in combination with the rice crackers I ate today. I'm not sure, but my body is not digesting it well. This also let to a return of some of the belching. I don't believe it's due to the dairy, just a hunch I guess.

Blog note: As I mentioned last week, I'm going to start posting at the end of every week going forward (to spare you the boring details). I will however create a post if I notice a big change or if I get some great piece of information from the doctor that could be helpful to you all.

Colonix Day 5

Day 5:

The usual...the 2 Paranil pills with 8 oz. of water, but I forgot to set my timer for 15 minutes....oops! I think it was actually about 12 minutes when I drank the fiber mix, as opposed to 15. Not sure what effect this will have.

No workout today, just a lot of walking. I live in San Francisco and don't have a car. We walk everywhere!

I steeped my tea for 3.5 minutes like the other evenings. Tomorrow (day 6) will be the last day I drink the tea on back to back nights, per the instructions.

Before I purchased Dr.Natura's Colonix, I did a lot of reading on it. Watched some YouTube videos from people who had used the product. I did come across quite a few photos of peoples actual BM's and what they looked like. Now I will spare you photos, because... ew. I am glad some people were brave enough to do that so I knew what to expect. But looking and examining what is in the toilet when I'm done is already weirding me out enough, so I will draw the line at photos. I will however give you some descriptions of the BM's in an effort to be helpful.

I have found some studies that show ALL grains contain gluten, not just wheat, rye, and barley, but ALL. That means rice, corn, spelt, etc. I really want to keep as many grains out of my body as possible, but since I was at a dinner party and she worked so hard to get me "gluten free" products (which were really just wheat free) I ate them anyway. So, I need to find another way to add in more carbs without grains. I've been looking at the Paleo diet or a version of that, which means no legumes or dairy either.

Changes: Bloating, belching, and feeling of fullness is still NOT present and it feels great. Such a relief. A big change today is that I had 5 good, normal BM's. Not watery. I've never been so happy to have a bowel movement! It's very positive because that means I'm seeing some results from the cleanse, but I'm also thinking that adding more carbohydrates into my body at last night's meal helped as well.

Colonix Day 4

Day 4:

Again... took the 2 Paranil pills with 8 oz. of water, then set my timer for 15 minutes. Mixed 8 oz. of water in the blender with one scoop of the fiber powder and chugged it down, then followed it up with an additional 8 oz. of water.

No workout today. Just a trip to the Chiropractor.

I went to a dinner/cocktail party and ended up eating more carbohydrates then I have been for the last two weeks, since I started feeling sick two weeks ago after my insane gluten binge.

Doctor notes: I did speak with my doctor over the phone today about my symptoms (bloating, belching, diarrhea, feeling of fullness) that have lived on for two full weeks, despite removing grain and dairy from my diet. She said that my symptoms were classic responses to a food allergy (most likely gluten) and it could easily take up to a month for the gluten to works it's way out and for my symptoms to subside. Argh! She does have me scheduled for blood tests, just to be sure it's gluten. I'll keep you posted on the test names and results, in case your suffering from something similar.

Drank my tea (steeped for 3.5 minutes) before bed (approx. 11:30 pm).

Changes: Bloating and fullness was much less, possibly due to the alcohol form the night before...still not sure why this helps. I had BM in the morning that was much healthier, not watery at all. Yippee!!!

Colonix Day 2

Day 2:

Hello Fellow Colon Cleansers!! What interesting things bond us as we get older...ugh!! I'm still in shock that I'm writing a blog about digestive health and a colon cleanse at 37! There was a time I would expect to be talking about this in my 60's, but oh well, here we are...

I will continue to do a daily accounting through the end of the first week, so you can get an idea of my diet and routine and then I will do a weekly update, unless there is a major change to report.

I followed the same process when I woke up this morning as I did yesterday with the 2 Paranil pills with 8 oz. of water, then set my timer for 15 minutes. Mixed 8 oz. of water in the blender with one scoop of the fiber powder and chugged it down, then followed it up with an additional 8 oz. of water. I had a small BM about 45 minutes after waking.

I did have about 3-4 oz of coffee this morning. I know, I know, the break up didn't last very long. My will-power with coffee...and men...seem to be in the toilet...no pun intended :). But I was falling asleep on the bus ride to work this morning, so I needed a few sips. After the few sips of coffee, I made a few trips to the bathroom with some very watery stool. I figure I will be having a lot of this for the first week or so, so I wasn't surprised, just happy to get things moving down there after prolonged constipation and small BM's.

As the day progressed, I noticed the belching and feeling of extreme fullness, despite not eating much, returned went on all day. Makes me wonder if it was the coffee that prompted or triggered this since it wasn't as prevalent yesterday... Although, I've been drinking my morning cup or two all my life and never experienced belching. It's just air coming up all day long. I've never suffered from heartburn or GERD as I've always eaten pretty healthy, minus the occasional binge. I feel this may be a deeper issue that maybe the acid in coffee is exacerbating. More research needed here I suppose.

I took 2 pro-biotics prior to eating my dinner. I steeped the Kleritea in hot water that I boiled in a pot on the stove for 3 minutes, I also added two chunks of ginger to steep in the water (supposedly aids in moving the colon). I drank my tea about 10:00 pm, right before bed.

Changes: Bloating and belching back. A couple of small BM's today. A new thing was the insanely foul smelling gas that popped up in the evening. I don't remember ever having gas that smelled so bad...it's a good thing I'm single right now...I guess. I'm not sure if this is a result of the Colonix or just another symptom of problems I've been experiencing. OH, almost forgot..I did talk to my mom for over an hour. Talking to mom usually helps you feel better, so I was hoping. Although it was great talking to her, it didn't decrease my bloating problems. Boo.
